A Defining Moment

"Are you the pizza man?"

I looked down into the eyes of the little girl and for a moment I saw what she saw. I was dressed in a pizza shirt with a pizza tie. I was heading towards my bright red pizza truck with a 4 foot yellow telephone on the roof. I had a smile on my face, spring to my step, and a pizza hot bag in my hand.

You never know when you'll have a defining moment in your life. For me, that moment was a defining moment. Although I had already been in the pizza business for 15 years, and was at that time President of Rusty’s Pizza, I had never taken the big step, to open my own pizza parlor. That little girl helped me to realize my dream.

Over the past 15 years we have built a pizza company here in Ventura County that my team and I are proud of. Pizza is unique in that it is a shared food. Sharing means friends and family. What child can say "pizza" and not smile? Forget Happy Meal; we've served over 3 million meals for friends and families. That’s 3 million smiles over these past 15 years.

PizzaMan Dan's has 8 locations serving all of Ventura, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Moorpark, Carpinteria and Camarillo. Our mascot is the Big Cheese; a giant wheel of cheese! We offer an exceptional pizza, with many specialty pizzas. We have 24 ingredients and 5 sauces to choose from. Are our hot wings incredible? Last year we sold over 100,000 pounds of hot wings in Ventura County. Our artisan subs, fresh salad bar, appetizers, and desserts round out our delicious menu. We are committed to serving another 3 million smiles with the best tasting pizza possible.

You never know when you’ll have a defining moment in your life. Remember that little girl from 15 years ago? I do. I bet you know what answer I gave her.
